BC Bloggers Meme: Top 5 Craziest Things You've Done and the Lessons You've Learned from Them

Ain't it crazy that I suggested this topic, and now I'm struggling to write something?
I'm sure I have done at least 5 crazy things in my life. We all do. But nonetheless, we learned a thing or two from each of them. Our mistakes don't define us, they help mold us. After all, experience is the best teacher.

Although my parents are strict, they are never to blame for my crazy actions. They never ran short of explanations on their being strict. They constantly remind us, even up to now, that they love us, and that their decisions are for our best. After all, they have our best interest at heart.

I never knew all these before.
Or maybe I do, I just didn't understand then, because I was too busy thinking about ME, MYSELF, and I.
But don't think too dark of me. I think that was a part of being a teenager. And I wasn't all rebellious; I just have a crazy side that like to explore limits.
We all do.

And I'm gonna share with you the top 5 craziest things I have done which in one way or another taught me important lessons.

FIVE:
I pricked a cord on our wall with a thumb tack.
During my first tries, the cord resisted the tack. But because of my persistence, the tack got through the cord, and came the biggest shock, ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Haha. I almost fell of our stairs.
LESSON: Curiosity may sometime kill.

FOUR:
Wanting to give myself a "new-look", I grabbed the scissors and cut my bangs without any forethought or anything. Since it was my first time, it was shorter than I intended, I came to school that morning with  BANGS and a BANG! :)))
LESSON: It's important to think before I leap.

THREE:
I kept eating even after I got full that I ended up throwing up.
LESSON: We do have limits.

TWO:
I ran away from home.
LESSON: We underestimate our parents love for us. We affect them the most.

ONE:
I kept my pregnancy from my family out of fear.
LESSON: Our family will always be there for us no matter what. They will always be the first ones to accept and love us through whatever. And although we reap what we sow, God will always have unfailing love for us.

How about you?
I'm sure you have your own fair share of crazy stuffs like pulling someone else's hair, changing your Facebook birthday to today, conniving with your cousin to change your Friendster profile pic to a picture of your cousin's ex-boyfriend and then-girlfriend, and hers to yours, picking up your bestfriend from home and instead of going to school, you surprise and bring her to a beach cause it's her birthday, or missing class just to have fun, and everything imaginable and unimaginable.
I'd love to know yours, too.
Share them with us.

  5. Your top five and four made me laugh. Top 1 is a fact, God has unfailing love for all of us. The question is, how do we accept this love.

  7. I did a lot of crazy things too when I was younger. When I was in high school, my girl friends and I (three of us) slumbered in our friends house. We were talking about boys and kissing. Our other friend has never experienced being kissed before and we taught her how to! :P

Thanks for award. I appreciate it so much! :D

  19. Oh yeah! I was one sneaky kid in my youth. My parents were so strict that the rebel in me just wanted to burst out of the prison(home). Now I'm a parent myself and can sooo relate to my parents' rules before.

  20. I was never really a sneaky kid, I hope my baby won't be too in the future. I'll go loka if she does.

  21. LOL at #5, like really! Curiosity! ^^v
I must say, I can relate with #1. Because we were too afraid of what they might think or what their reactions would be, we tend to keep some things in secret. But in the end, our family are the only ones who'll truly accept us and stick with us no matter what. ;)

  22. haha..i have my own share of crazy things when I was a child and even upon growing up.. nice to go back to those days!

    ReplyDelete

  25. I almost got electrocuted myself when I was in elementary. I was holding the TV plug the wrong way and when I inserted it to the socket, I felt more than just a tingling sensation in my arm. I had the good sense to let go so I'm very much alive and commenting here. It wasn't curiousness that time but more of not paying attention hehehe. Lesson? 220 Volts is really shocking lol! I was more careful next time.

  26. your no.4 made me laugh! because i also did that! hahaha i still have photos of that crazy bangs! never fail to make me laugh everytime i come across it haha!

    ReplyDelete
  30. We hard the same experience (#s 4 and 5). I remember I insert a key to an electric outlet. Shocking talaga, hehe. Then, I also cut my hair to have a bangs. Un lang like you it ended up too short. My technique pala dun. Hehe.

  31. Hahahaha! Crazy stuffs :) I think these are the moments which really brought us to maturity ^^. One thing I won't be doing is to keep my pregnancy to my family (when the day comes) I've done many unreasonable decisions and from there I learned that family is your way back to home (they will embrace you with sincerity in your down time)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lol! I can relate with the bangs. I did it when I was in Grade 3 and I ended up putting a lot of hairpins so my classmates won't see me in such an embarrassing haircut.

    ReplyDelete
  33. hahahah... I cut my hair too... Lesson Learned: Never cut your own hair beyond split ends.
